Free vs. Pro
FAQ
How long can I use the free version?
Forever. Everything on the router side is free, including future updates.
Does Open-Box provide nodes?
No. Open-Box is software that runs on your router and devices; you bring your own nodes and routes. Follow the laws and regulations where you are when using network services — you assess and bear any related risk yourself.
What exactly does Pro charge for?
Only two things: Share network and the apps — opening your router’s network to other devices, and letting phones and computers use your home routing. Routing, DNS and node management on the router stay free.
How many devices does one license cover?
One router, plus unlimited phones and computers paired to it. Two routers at home means two licenses.
What if I replace or reinstall my router?
Enter the same license key in the new router’s panel and follow the prompt to move it; the old one is deactivated automatically. You can move a license yourself 5 times a year, or unlink it first under My licenses.
What happens when a yearly license expires?
Share network and the apps stop working, but every setting is kept and comes back the moment you renew. All other router features keep working. You get a reminder in the panel and by email 14 days and 3 days before expiry.
Can I try it first?
Every router gets a free 14-day trial. Click “Free trial” on the Share network or App page in the panel — no sign-up needed.
Can I get a refund?
Pro is a digital license, so all sales are final once the key is issued, except where the law requires otherwise. Every router gets a free 14-day trial — please try it before you buy.
Can I upgrade from yearly to lifetime?
Yes. Pay the $70.00 difference while your yearly license is active.
Does Pro stop working if my router goes offline?
Not right away. The router keeps Pro for 30 days without Internet, and Local routing on your phone works fully offline after pairing, until the expiry date.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Alipay, WeChat Pay, and cards such as Visa and Mastercard.
